How to go from this screen capture to this icon:

I recommend this tutorial for dark and slightly blurred screen captures.

I used Paint Shop Pro 7.0 for this tutorial, but it’s translatable between programs. We’ll be using blending modes, the sharpen option and flood filling, so it’s translatable for most programs.
