OK THIS IS FOR THE PEOPLE THAT KNOW SUM Of the terms and know how to resize images and use the text....
Here is your first picture:
Go to image and go to image size, click on it. Then put the image to 100X100 pixels.
Go to layer and click on duplicate layer. next go to gradient tool and click on it. I used a simple brown, came with the program. it should look like this:
duplicate background layer and put the new layer on top of all of them. Put it to Opacity at 60%.
Go to gradient again, and i chose this one...
(it came with the program) I put the gradient vertical and put the line a quarter in from the left. If that makes sense! (sawway!) now your image should look like this:
duplicate background again and put it at opacity: 45%
I then took the brush of the outlined star (its a brush of a START (single) place in 3 places) and this is where i placed them (on the image but i took it away so you could see it clearer)...
Then I opened up another file of the kanji "dream" , I colored the kanji with a dark brown orange. Then I clicked on the image (the white part) witht the "magic wand. Everything should be selected. Then go to select and click inverse. Then go to cut and go to the orginal icon we're working on. PASTE! Erase the white part of the kanji and resize it! (go to edit and click on free transform). Then place it where you want to. The click on text and type in vision. Place it where you want. then after your funness of vison...your DONE! Hope you guys like it...

also what you can do it instead that look you can go for this look: start at when the image looks like this:
