Animated Icon Sizes?

Yesterday I made an animated icon for my journal but when I went to upload it it was too big. I worked really hard on this icon and I love how it turned out. Does anyone know how I can reduce the size of the icon so I can use it? This has happened to me before with an icon I made for a friend but I could never figure out how to reduce the file size. I'm using Adobe ImageReady to make my animations. Thanks guys!
