Coloring Trouble...
I put the request under the cut because it's a bit long...
I use Photoshop CS and I want to achieve this kind of coloring, SPECIALLY the one on the first icon:
I've followed a bunch of tutorials but I only got this as a result:
Which is not the same for me. I tried to fix them with selective coloring but they only got worse. ALL the icons were made out of screencaps and everybody knows that they're REALLY dark, so I think that I'm doing something wrong.

I couldn't even do anything with the darkest screencaps. I don't want them to look too pasty or too pinkish...
It has to be a way; as you can see it CAN be done! I know that I'm asking too much, but I would appreciate any help. I've never tried this coloring before and it didn't turned out the way I wanted. My icons are usually a little better :)
Can anybody help me? Can anybody make a tutorial or lead me to one... Thanks! :)
