help

hi peoples. 
Can anyone tell me a way to create moving icons in image ready? people keep telling me i can do it, but not how. i've tried it in flash mx but it doesn't work so well. 
also if it was a tv show would i need to use screen caps or what? 
oh god i know nothing...haha
