What is the difference (other than $$$ of course) between Photoshop Elements and CS3. I obviously want to do more than just crop. I want to be able to apply layers and other fun elements to create stunning icons as well. Will Elements be enough or does one really have to have CS3 (and spend $700; which is more than what my camera is worth).

if I do choose Elements; will I be able to creative animated icons? with my old PS7, I could use Image Ready.
