Error occurring when importing brushes in psp 9

Hey, I came here last time for how to install and use brushes in PSP 9, and I have figured out how to do that *thank you thank you*, but now, when I click on file > import > custom brushes, and then I pick the brush that I want to import, it says, "the file C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint Shop Pro 9\Brushes\Artistic\001.jpg is a newer format version and is unsupported." I figure this means that psp 9 doesn't allow you to use brushes that are jpgs? Is there any way to somehow use these brushes, because I really like them! :] Would be glad of any assitance! :]
