Photoshop CS2 Problem

Ok all of the sudden my CS2 will let me open a file but once I've got one open it won't let me open another. I have to close the first in order to open a second which is getting annyoing when i have to open a psd coloring file and then a picture and it wont let me. Does anyone know how to fix this?
