Text problem

Those anyone know a function on Adobe Photoshop that makes the font really small and I have to "unset" the settings so it's viewable again? I can't add text to anything right now cus the font function is making all the fonts appear really, really small. Even when the size is set on 72. Its like dot on the screen. Everything was fine before today, or is this a problem with the program itself?
