Marie Antoinette Icon Tutorial

(I think this is something like my sixth tutorial...)

If you want to make a), here are the steps:

1. I used a simple screen cap from Marie Antoinette. I cropped it and resized it to begin.
2. I duplicated my base and set it to screen 100%, and then flattened my base (Ctrl+Shft+E).
3. Next, I made a selective colour layer (Layer>>New Adjustments Layer>>Selective Colour>>) with these settings:
Reds: -100, 0, +100, 0
Yellows: -100, 0, +100, 0
Neutrals: +20, 0, -10, 0
I left this layer at normal 100%.
4. I duplicated the selective colour base and left it at normal 100%.
5. I then made a hue/saturation layer with these settings (Layer>>New Adjustments Layer>>Hue/Saturation):
Master: Saturation +45
6. I flattened my image to finish it off. (Ctrl+Shft+E) Sharpen it, if you like (Filter>>Sharpen>>Sharpen), but I felt I didn't need to.

To make b), follow these steps:

1. Make your base. Don't feel you have to fiddle with it too much, you'll do that later. Just crop and resize for now.
2. Duplicate your base and set it to screen 50%.
3. I made a selective colour layer (Layer>>New Adjustments Layer>>Selective Colour) with these settings:
Reds: -100, 0, +100, 0
Yellows: -100, 0, +100, 0
Neutrals: +20, 0, -10, 0
I left this layer at normal 100%.
4. I duplicated the selective colour layer and left it at normal 100%.
5. I made a hue/saturation layer (Layer>>New Adjustments Layer>>Hue/Saturation) with these settings:
Master: Saturation +30
6. I made a pink colour fill layer (#F1A8A8) and set it to colour burn 60%.
7. I then made a new colour balance layer (Layer>>New Adjustments Layer>>Colour Balance) with these settings:
Midtones: -30, 0, +30
8. I flatten my image (Ctrl+Shft+E) and sharpened it (Filter>>Sharpen>>Sharpen).
