Icon Tutorial number 2!!

This tutorial is for the icon below. ^^ I'm proud of it, and I make most of my Tony icons this way for some reason, so I thought I'd make myself a quick tutorial so I know what to do later to get this effect, since I'l quite fond of it! ^_^

Please don't steal the icon. =/ It's mine, and I'm quite fond of it.

Tutorial for PSP8, but with a bit of PS knowledge, I'm sure it'll work there, too.

Ok! So I started out with this base. I got the picture from Mest.it. :) I cropped it to 100x100. I then go to Layers > Duplicate.

I then went to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Automatic Saturation Enhancement.

There a box came up. At around the bottom of the box, I click the following.

I then click OK. I like the colours ALOT more. :)

:) Next I went to Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten).

Then I duplicated the layer again.

Next I went to Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Hue/Saturation/Lightness. There, I changed the setting so the following:

And clicked OK.

This is what I got.

Next, I used this gradient by (none other then) crumblingwalls. :)

I copied this gradient and then right clicked on my image and went to Paste > As a New Layer.

I went to Layers > Properties and set my gradient to Exclusion at 25% opacity.

I then pasted the gradient on again (as a new layer!) and put it on Screen at 45% opacity.

Next I pasted the gradient on again. :) I put it to Burn at 75% opacity.

Next I pasted my gradient yet AGAIN. XD

I put it on Dodge at 5% opacity.

I then added some brushes! :)

I don’t know who made some of these, so if these were made by you, PLEASE tell me so I can credit you!!! ^^

I made new raster layer and added this brush my callmefreak (I think!!) and set it to Soft Light at 75% opacity. (I used a white colour for all my brushes on this icon...except the border.)

I then added another brush. :) I don’t know who this one is by, so please, if you know who it’s by, tell me!! ^^

I made a new raster layer and then put this brush at Soft Light with 100% opacity.

Next, I added the text "Tony Lovato" in size 5 Arial Black (Kearning: 80). I placed it on my icon and then put it on Soft Light at 100% opacity.

Next I added the lyrics "I’ll Never Regret these years spent so faded and reckless" in size 3 Verdana. (Kearning: 80) I placed it below "Tony Lovato" and put it on Soft Light at 100% opacity.

Then I Merge all the layers (flatten).

Next, I add a border that I made. :) You can use it if you want. But please credit me if you do. Userinfo, resource pages...whatever is fine. ^^

I make a new raster layer and then I added it to my icon and put it to Soft Light at 100% opacity. :) I made the border black for this icon.

I made another new raster and put the border on it again (still in black!). I left it at Normal and changed the opacity to 45%. :)

Then I came out with the icon above!! :D

Please comment if you use this tutorial! I’ll try to answer any questions you might have. :) I also *LOVE* to see icons people make using my tutorials. :D
