Templates and transparency
I've seen all the tutorials on how to add a template to an icon, and I get it and can do it. What I haven't seen, and what is giving me fits is after getting the template in place, and removing the white in it (if there is any) is getting certain parts of the base image, inside the cut out parts, transparent.
All the tutorials say you can add transparency to certain parts, but they don't tell how. Or am I missing something? How do I make the transparencies and get rid of parts of the actual image? I've been trying to use the magie wand, but it selects random areas of color not specifically what's in the lines. I'm very frustrated.
