Problems with text in PS7
Someone, please help me before I burst a vein?
So, the text in my Photoshop has been acting out for months now, and you know, I've just had enough. I'm going bonkers. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing works. The resolution is at 72 (though, I don't think the resolution has anything to do with this problem), anti-aliasing is on, all the other values at normal, and the text still looks, if you excuse my language, like shit.
See?

The font is Palatino Linotype, but it doesn't matter what font I use because it still looks too funky. If it isn't blurry, it's weirdly pixelated and just... odd. Unclear. And gods forbid if I try to add text smaller than 8 pt.
It can't be because of Faux Bold or Anti-aliasing. In the example picture I've used four different settings, from top to bottom:
-tracking 100, no Faux Bold, anti-aliasing Sharp
-tracking 100, Faux Bold on, anti-aliasing Strong
-tracking 100, Faux Bold on, anti-aliasing Sharp
-tracking 100, no Faux Bold, anti-aliasing Strong
If I set anti-aliasing to Crisp, the text becomes to faint and blurry. If I put it to Smooth, it get even more blurry. Can anyone help me? I'm seriously losing my mind here.
