This is my first icon tutorial, I hope some of you can learn something new and exciting from it. If it is a hit I will make some more. I do however wish that you do not follow every step exactly and re-create my icon.

Prep base --> Sharpen, screen, etc

Duplicate base layer --> Desaturate --> Gaussian blur 2.0

Duplicate base later --> Bring to the top --> Set softlight

Duplicate softlight layer --> Set Opacity to what goes best with your icon, I did 25

New Softlight layer --> Fill with ffba84

New Softlight layer --> Fill with 8a6142

New Exclusion layer --> Fill with 0e2044

New Muliply layer --> Fill with fdc689 --> Set opacity 20 (or what goes with your icon)

And, you're finished!
