Help, please! Soft/Faded coloring (PSP9)
Going from this to this.
My question is, how can I get the coloring? The program I use is PaintShopPro9. I tried duplicating the base and setting it to "screen", and it gave me a similar effect, but it made the guys' lips quite dark. Any help at all would be very appreciated. m(__)m Thank you!
[EDIT]
"Thank you!" to everyone who commented. I used a combination of your suggestions and finally got the coloring I was looking for (as close as possible, anyways). ^_^
[USING PSP9]
Duplicate Base. Set it to Screen 30%. Make new Art Media Layer (fill: #FFFFFF). Set that to Overlay 51%.
Merge all.
Make new Art Media Layer (Fill: #FFFFFF). Set it to Screen 32%.
Merge all.
Duplicate base. Adjust >> Color Balance >> Fade Correction 100%. Make new Art Media Layer (Fill: #91614A). Set to Saturation 44%.
Merge all.
Adjust >> Brightness&Contrast >> Highlight/Midtone/Shadow.
Shadow: -74. Midtone: -59. Highlight: 4.
Use the burn brush on the guys' hair until you're satisfied with it. Clarify. Use brush again, if needed. You're done!
