Andromeda tutorial

Go from this to this

Made in PS CS3 uses selective colour

Find it under the cut, works well on most pictures

Start with your base I am using this one of  Lexa Doig
Step 1 Duplicate your base, and set to screen so you have this
then flatten the image, sharpen if required.

Step 2  Go to layer> new adjustment  layer> Curves
click on the very middle of the curves box and enter these
settings Output 133  Input 103  you should end up with this:

Step3  Go to layer > new adjustment layer> levels enter these
settings in the 3 boxes in this order 15, 1.77, 2.15 now you
should have something like this:

Step 4  Go to layer>new adjustive layer> selective colour use
these settings
Reds

Cyan -100%
magenta 0%
yellow +100%
Black 0%

Cyans

Cyan +100%
Magenta -33%
Yellow -100%
Black +44%

Blues

Cyan +100%
Magenta +36%
Yellow + 64%
Black +34%

Neutrals

Cyan +100%
Magenta +23%
Yellow -72%
Black - 5%

Still with me? Good you should now have this

To finish I just added this frame  made
by me set to lighten your finished icon should now look like this:

Other icons I made with following this
For some images you may need to drop the curves or levels layer  espically if you had a nice clear high quality picture to begin with; if your image dosn't look right click the eye icon next to the adjustment layers to toggle between on and off to see what looks best,  no need to go back and start again.

Please tell me what you think this is only my 3rd  tutorial and i'm not very confident.
