Program error?

Could anyone please give me a bit of advice.

I'm a long term PSP7 user (at least 5 years experience), and although I aquired PS7 a couple of years ago, I've only just, in the past week, been brave enough to start working in it.

And all has been fine. Until this morning. My laptop froze (one of it's many annoying habits) whilst I was in PS7. I had no choice but to switch it off at the plug (I know, I know. Bad.) I restarted, and there was no signs of any problems. And I resumed work in PS.

But then I found out that I cannot save any of my images, no matter what their file extension. I end up with a caption reading "Adobe Photoshop could not complete your request because of a program error"

So I uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

And it happened again.

Rinse and repeat, and the problem still remains.

The only way I can keep the image I'm working on is to Print Screen and paste into good old PSP7. But that's not ideal when I come to the point where I need to save PSDs.

I'm open to any advice anyone can give.
