My second tutorial, so be kind.
Step 1.)
Select your base or crop an image. Then sharpen your base once.
Step 2.)
Duplicate your base (ctrl+J), desaturate and put it on overlay at an opacity of 100%.
Step 3.)
Add the following texture by
7thedition, set it to screen at 100%.
Step 4.)
This step is completely optional. You can add text ot brushes if you want. I added the kanji for "Farewell" to mine. ^__^
