Voldy Tutorial (Optional Selective Coloring)
Going from

. There's a selective coloring layer, but that's easily replaced.
All of the percentages are what I used, but because each picture is different, it may call for improvisation in that department. That goes too with the Selective Coloring and Saturation amounts.
1. I chose my screenshot from IGN.com, and cropped it to a 100x100 px icon. Duplicate the base layer, and set the new one to Screen at 100%.
2. Duplicate the base layer again, drag it to the top of the pallet and set it to Soft Light at 100%.
3. Create a new layer, and fill it with #f8d5f8 set to Soft Light at 100%.
4. Create two more new layers, each filled with #f6f8d5. Set the first to Color Burn at 100%, the second to Multiply at 100%.
5. Go to Layer + New Adjustment Layer + Selective Color. If you don't have Selective Coloring, you can either duplicate the base layer, drag it to the top and set it to Overlay at the opacity of your choosing, or create a Brightness/Contrast layer and up either to the number of your choosing.
