Photosho 7.0 problem. Files won't open.

I just got a new laptop, and I transferred my PS 7 onto it, and everything is working OK, except that it will now only open JPG, PDF, etc. It won't open GIF or PNG files. If anyone could help me out and tell me how to fix this, I'd really appreciate it :D
