Photoshop 5.5 Question.

A friend of mine is using PS 5.5 and she is having problems resizing brushes. Is there a way to do it besides manually making a new brush that is smaller? I have ps cs2 so I'm of no use to her! I checked the archives but I couldn't find anything that pertained to her version! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
