A colouring tutorial, essentially

Hello there! Gee, I'm a tad nervous, it's my first tutorial. We'll see how I do. >.<

I'd greatly appreciate comments, good or bad. And I'd love to see your results!

Alrighty so today we're going from.....

this to

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0

1) So first, I got my image, and cropped it, then resized it to 100x100, as we usually do.

2) Next, I went to FilterSharpenUnsharp Mask and used these settings:

Amount: 55%
Radius: 1.0 pixels
Threshold: 0 levels

6) Yet another new layer was added, and then it was filled with a light, yellow-tan color (0f163a), and set to Soft Light 100%. After that, we have:

7) Yes, add another layer! Don't worry, this is the last flood fill layer. Now fill it with a soft, light pink. I did fecdf2 and set it to Soft Light 100%. Now it looks like:

8) Now, duplicate your base twice, and bring both layers to the top. Set the one closest to the bottom to Multiply 28%, and then the very top one to Hard Light 75%. And voila! You're done! The final result:
