Tutorial #1 : playing with fire

First time I’ve come here, somebody asked me how I create this icon . Okay ,uhm , I’ll show you the way I did it . It’s not so difficult and you can make it done just within 5 minutes .

Okay, all we want today is make this icon

I’m using PS CS2 ( translatable, I think ) and a base of my friend , she’s so cute .

1. First, take your base, resize it ,all good stuff .
2. Duplicate your base and set it to Overlay 100% .
RESULT :

3. Use this texture by

. Set it to Linear Burn 100% .
RESULT :

4. Use this texture by

. Set it to Screen . Opacity depends on you. I used 93% .
RESULT :

5. Okay , you almost finished . Now you only need to add some text or brushes to make that icon becomes your own .
