My first tutorial
We'll be going from This to This
I'm useing PSP X, but this is translatable into Photoshop.
1. Duplicate your icon ans set it to screen if you need to, I left mine as it is.
2. New adjustment layer>Channel mixer
Red: Red 100, Green 10, Blue 17, Constant -28.
Green: Red 0, Green 98, Blue 8, Constant 0
Blue: Red 58, Green 10, Blue 0, Constant 0
3. New adjustment layer>Colour balance
Midtones: 40, -21, 23
Shadows: -59, 15, 19
Highlights: -23, 10, 0
Preserve luminance checked.
4. New adjustment layer> curves
Match my settings:
RGB:
Red:
Green:
Blue:
5. New adjustment layer>Hue/Saturation/Lightness
Master Saturation: 28
6.Duplicate base, drag to the top and set to soft light, merge all and Sharpen.
