Adding eyeshadow.
So I wanted to make beauty icons of eyes. I started to find images and realized most of them needed makeup. So I looked for tutorials and all of them gave really awful results. So I came up with my own technique and I'm sharing it with you..

I don't know if this is translatable I use PS CS.
1. Crop image.

2. Now set your foreground and background colors I have a brown and a gold. Making a layer fill it and then using the filter add noise at 120.

3. Using a mask (remember black reveal white conceal) hide the layer from and where you don't want it. Now set to screen and lower the opacity to 25%

5. Okay now selecting the noise give it a slight blur.
→
6. Now in the same shape as the eyeshadow and bright color (gold) make a softlight layer. Set to 20% opacity.
→
7. Finally go over each lash with the burn tool.
→
Done! With some coloring and sharpening your finished!
Heres my final image

The one one the left is a bit unreal typically eyeshadow doesn't look as if you took a crayola marker to your eye. It has shine and flecks of metallic powder.
