Borders!!
Today, I'll show you how to make this 3D/Gradient Border like this in PhotoShop CS or up&under:

01. Open your picture that you want to have a border.
02. Make sure it's set on RGB mode, if not, go to image >> mode >> RGB mode
03. Duplicate your base.
04. Go to Edit >> Stroke and them put in the width of your border in a black or white color.
05. Next, take your magic wand tool and select the border on the duplicate of your base layer.
06. Pick the gradient tool, and pick your two colors or more.
07. Make sure your selection is still there, then make a gradient across your picture in any direction, but it will go only in the selection.
To make the gradient border, follow the 8th step...
08. Deselect your selection and right click on the background duplicate layer on the layer palette and click on blending options.
Match your settings: (note: you can play around with the settings, but first try these)
