Scratchy Texture for PSP.

lally asked here how to make scratch textures in PSP 9. I did reply with the tutorial in the comments, but I realised I'd mucked it up. So here it is. :)

Make this: in PSP. A Photoshop version of the tutorial can be found here, by lizabeth0606.



1. New white canvas - I'm using 300x300px.

2. Using a black 1px brush, draw a few little random lines over the canvas. [example]

3. Effects >> Arts and Media >> Charcoal. My settings are 50, 50.

4. Adjust >> Negative Image.

5. Effects >> Texture Effects >> Fur. My settings are blur 5, length 80, density 19, transparency 44.

6. Crop the area you want and size down to 100x100px.

7. Adjust >> Add/Remove Noise >> Add Noise. My settings were a guassian noise at 20%.

8. Image >> Greyscale.
