Text problem

Okay, I'm having problems with my text. Whenever I open an image and try to type it comes out so that you can't see it. I know that the problem is that it's at a 1 pixels/inch resolution but I don't know how to fix it! It doesn't happen when I make a new image so I don't know what's up.



Can anyone help? It's annoying having to make a new document, type and copy and paste.
