Question
Before I know my way around PS enough on my own, and know what things do, I have been following tutorials exactly, so I can see what results I get!
I have been trying to use images of the same colours (or at least close) to those from the tutorials, and things just don't turn out anything like the icon I’m copying lol. How come when people add lots of layer fills, the people’s skin colour doesn't change dramatically to some god-awful colour like when I do? I don’t know if I have explained myself enough, if anyone out there is helpful enough to want to show me or follow a tutorial with me, I’d love it!

Am I being completely stupid? when I do it, his skin goes all blue and it's not cute lol!!
