Tutorial #3

-Feel free to try out this tutorial with your own pictures and show me what you came up with, I'd love to see:)
-Your numbers may be a bit different than mine. Play around with the settings to compliment your icon:)
-Do not repost this tutorial anywhere w/o my permission.
-Do not use my icon.

 1) Crop your image to 100 x 100. I thought the image was too dark, so I duplicated it 3 times and set those three layers to Screen at 100%.  Merge all layers.


2) Go to Image> Adjustments> Hue/Saturation. Make the Saturation -40


3) Create a Selective Color Layer (Image> Adjustments> Selective Coloring) There were my settings:
RED
-100
+100
+100
+100

YELLOWS
-44
-23
-7
+69

NEUTRALS
+27
+10
-35
-15


4) Go to Image> Adjustments> Curves
RGB
Point #1
Input- 99
Output- 113

Point #2
Input- 171
Output- 163


5) Go to Image> Adjustments> Hue/Saturation. Make the Saturation of  MASTER -40  Saturation of  REDS +60


6) Copy the base layer and bring it to the top.Desaturate in (Ctrl>Shift>U) and set it to Hard Light at 90%


7) Merge all layers and add text I used violation, 11pt font in white. I used the dropper tool to pick out the red from Peter's shirt (#AE1244)
Go to Layers> Layer Style> Stroke and set the stroke to 4.
