Del Marquis Tutorial :)

Hi! *waves*

Today we are going to show you how to go from this to

Made in PSP 7, but is fully translatable :D

Ah right, hello :)

With your base you need to make two copies of it, so you have three images overall. Right, done that? Minimise two of the images.

With the one still open, you need to crop a square of part of your image. Rezise to100x100 pixels, and sharpen if needed.
Then Duplcate the base, and set to overlay, leaving the opacity at 100.
Voila:

Insert a new layer, and fill with #C00000. That was simple :) Set the layer to Exclusion, and adjust opacity to 75.

Now, we're gonna add a border. PSP users will need to resize their image, making it smaller by a couple of pixels, and flatten it. I used a 1px border.

Now, open up one of your other bases. Crop part of it to a short wide image, (if that makes sense), and resize so it's 98 pixels wide. Should be about 40-50 pixels high. Add a border, copy and paste into your original base.
Do the same with the second base, and make it about 60-70 pixels high, 35-45 wide.
If I've explained that okay, it should lok like this...

Now we need to add text. To get the glowing effect in PSP, you need to open a new image, and fill it with the colour you want the 'glow' to be. I left mine white. Click on the image with your text tool, and in the pop-up box tick the 'Create as Floating box'

As you can probably just about see, I used Redensek font (available here at dafont.com), size 10pt. Colour was #71C39A (taken from the coloured base)

Click OK, and you will see this.

Obviosly, the lickle black lines will be moving... Like a train... *dreams*

Yes, well, anyway... *cough*

Go to Selections > Modify > Expand, and set it to about three pixels.
Now go to Selections > Modify > Feather, and set to about six pixels.
You should be seeing this.

(Thanks like, a million to isilwen for teaching me to do that, with this tut!)
T
hen copy this (rotate if needed) and paste in to your image.

And Ta-Dah!
You're done :)
Hope you can understand this, comment please, 'cause you're all wonderful like that, and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! :)
