Mod post: reminder about image size
This is a direct quotation from the community rules:
Use an LJ-cut when posting any image larger than 200x200 pixels, or when posting more than 3 100x100 images.
I can't even keep track of how many times over the last week or two we've had to remind someone to cut an image or use thumbnails.
Remember: 200x200 pixels is no higher than two LJ icons, and no wider than two LJ icons. Now think about the pictures you post...
There are many reasons for this, and it doesn't matter if you don't like the reasons. Some users are still on dial-up. Some users have friends' list formats that can warp easily. Some users (like me, your MOD) maintain the community from work and an 800x wide image of Paris Hilton is not exactly what we want to be displaying to our offices.
Please, respect the rules. The code for an LJ-cut is:
< lj-cut text="This is the Cut Text." >
Just make sure you remove the spaces just inside the < and > brackets.
Please and thank you.
