Dark to light icon tutorial!

Lighten up this dark pic: Kellie Pickler to get this icon:   using my newest tutorial! I made it in Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0, but it's very translatable, all it is is color layers. Comments appreciated! I promise this is my last tutorial for a while lol!
