My very first tutorial!
How to go from this to this:
My very first tutorial ever, also my very first post on
icon_tutorial, but not my first time messin' with graphics. Made with PSP8, but can probably be translated to other programs.
1. Open image in PSP8
2. Duplicate layer and set to Overlay
3. Click on background, create new layer and fill with #F6DEC0
4. Set above layer to Soft Light, 80%
5. Select the Copy of Background
6. Sharpen
7. Go to Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Automatic Contrast Enhancement and set the settings to Lighter/Neutral/Bold
8. Go to Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Clarify and set to 5
9. Use Sharpen tool at a low opacity for eyes and lips
10. Merge all layers
11. Create new layer, fill with #EFFBFB and set to Burn
12. Create new layer, fill with #ED8151 and set to Soft Light, 30%
13. Create new layer, fill with the preset multiblue gradient and set to Screen, 40%
14. Create new layer, fill with #F8A63C and set to Multiply, 26%
15. Merge all layers
16. Add 1 pixel black border to image
