Luvyuyu 5th tutorial ^_^
We are going to make this effect in easy steps, there is icons inside.
♥ I used Adope photoshop 7, but I'm sure it will work with other progrms and versions as well.
♥ I'm working on large pic but it will work for icons, I have an example in the end of the tutorial.
♥ Sorry English is not my first language, so I think there is some grammar mistakes or even spelling mistakes ^^;;
♥ I know its only an effect for the fonts, but it would work for anything and any size, just use your imagination ^_^.
♥ Lets start~
- Open new file 500x500 pixels, because I want you to see how the effect looks.
- Fill the background layer with black #000000 than type whatever you want with white #FFFFFF
- Now duplicate the text layer, so youhave 3 layers now, we are going to work on the 2nd one which is in the middle.
- As you are in the middle layer go to (Filter>Distort>Polar coordinates) than choose Rectangular to polar
- After that go to (Filter>Stylize>Wind) and it should be like this, or you can choose the direction from the left
- Than again go to (Filter>Distort>Polar coordinates) but this time choose polar to rectangular
- After cropping the pic the size you want you will get something looks like this.
- You can use the blend options and add color overlay for both the font and the effect we made and this is what i made
- As what I said before it would work for icons thats why i'm posting it here ^_^
