JPG Graininess

A friend of mine is having a problem with icon quality when she saves an image as a JPEG in PSP8. Her original cap quality is high, but when she saves the icon gets grain on the faces and around sharp edges, like they would with highly optimized JPGS. Is there some kind of automatic image quality setting on PSP8 that you can change so the quality isn't decreased upon saving?
