How Do I Put The Animated Bit Where I Want It?

I've looked through the memories and I can't find what I want, or anything that I understand at least. I've made the animation for the mini-movie icon I want to make and made the background. How do I put the animation on the background?
I tried but it only came up with one frame.
Please Help.
