Brushes Problem

I'm having a problem with my brushes. The color will not show up. Just to even see that there is something there I have to apply it again, and again, and again.

It's with the normal default brushes too. So I can't blend properly either. Is anyone else having this problem? Or do you know how to fix it?

I use PhotoShop 7
