text help

Hey guys i'm new to icon making and this community has been a great help! anyway i have seen heaps of icons were the font seems to be slightly transparent so that you can kinda see the pictures background... kinda like this



i dont know if that makes sence but could some one please give me a hand with this

oh btw i use psp 8
