a requested tutorial , from a friend of mine, I thought I would post it here so everyone could see them! :)
it involves curves, but only two steps.
I use CS2.

1. Duplicate your base, set it to screen. It's different from picture to picture on how many times/how much
opacity. I put mine at 70%.
2. Curves:

BLUE:
set the curve layer to colorburn 100 %
