Harry Potter Tutorial (PS CS2 - translatable)
We will be going from this to this: 
Resize your picture to 100 x 100 px and sharpen it to your liking:
Duplicate your layer once and set it to screen:
Next I used this texture sorry I don't know who made it:
I rotated it 90 CW so that the lighter bit was over Harry's face and set it to overlay:
Next copy your base layer (ctrl+J) and desaturate it (ctrl+shift+u):
Bring your desaturated layer to the top of all the layers and set it to overlay:
And to bring a little bit more depth to the general colour of the picture I added a colour fill (330000) and set it to saturation at 40%:
Note: if your icon is still to dark add one or two screen layers below the texture
Merge your layers and your done!
