Motion City tutorial
Back again >:3
We'll be going from this:
----->
:DDD
Here is the image we'll be using:

Incredibly sexy, but if I made it through making it, you can make it through the tutorial.
1. As usual, begin with cropping/resizing the poop out of the image.

2. Now take your picture (it doesn't really matter if you duplicate it or not) and sharpen it. Filter --> Sharpen --> Sharpen.

Much better looking, no?
3. Now duplicate the image and set it to soft light.

4. Create a new layer, and fill it with the color #F9EDF5. Set it to color burn. I erased around hisfucking sexy (lol) neck because I didn't like how it looked :<

5. I forgot to save a copy as this, but as long as you do it right, it'll come out correctly!
Just duplicate the picture, go to filter --> artistic --> cutout, and your little... whatever it is thing should read as so;
# of levels: 4
edge simplicity: 4
edge fidelity: 2
and that's it :D! Trust me, if you just do what I typed, you won't have to worry about anything.
6. Now, duplicate your layer again, but this time, make it filter --> blur --> motion blur, and your motion blur settings should read as follows;
angle: 0
distance: 937
Now set it to linear dodge and move that layer down a bit, so long as you get this or something like it:

7. Now comes the text! Well the first word anyways. Take your text tool and type "Justin" :] The font should be ITC Franklin Gothic (which, if I'm mistaken, you should already have on your computer. If you don't, just use something like Trebuchet or Verdana :]) and the font size should be 12.
Now right-click your font layer. Go to Blending options --> drop shadow. Your shadow color needs to be black.
Your settings need to be;
blend mode: multiply
Opacity: 75
angle: 54
distance: 2
spread: 100
size: 3
And all of that should get you here;

8. Grab your text tool and make another font layer whatever they're called, haha. This time, type in "Pierre".
Make the font for the "P" Ruritania, font size 22, and everything after that (i.e. "ierre") in Futurist Fixed-width in size 12.
Now move that around a bit. Make sure that "Pierre" is under "Justin".
Now then! Right-click the "Pierre" layer. Go to Blending Options --> drop shadow and make your settings like this.
Blend mode: multiply
Opacity: 75
Angle: 54
Distance: 2
Spread: 100
Size: 1
(size is really the only thing that changes.)
Now that should have gotten you here;

Or something like that :]
9. Now, create a new layer. Grab your pencil tool and create a 1 pixel border with the color #BCAFA6 and make sure it's set to overlay ;]

and that's the end!
I'll probably make some of the other boys later :D
