mini movie help

HELP! i made sure to look in the memories but didn't find anything useful to my problem. the first few times that i saved mini movies they turned out fine, quality-wise. now when i try to save my mini movies, they come out looking like crap! i save the individual frames in Photoshop in .gif format. then i go to Image Ready, make the animation and save in "Save Optimized As". and when i view my icon, it looks like crap! theres a dither (a lot of little dots) and too few colors. what could be the problem? as i mentioned it hadn't happened before and i don't know what i did wrong this time.
