Tutorial #8: "Bubble" text
using PSP8. Might work in older/newer versions. Not as many pretty pictures as usual. Not exactly icon related, but it most certainly can be used on icons :)1. Make a new document big enough to fit what you want to write on it. Mine was 350x100, but I doubt you care.
2. Create your text as a floating selection. I used Noodle Script, size 48, 0 stroke, Anti-alias, color #F361B0. DO NOT DESELECT IT!!
3. Go to Selections >> Modify >> Expand. Set it to 1, then hit OK.
4. Make a new layer and drag it underneath your text layer. Flood fill it with your border color of choice. Mine was #EF2999.
5. Go back to your text layer and click anywhere. This will shrink your selection down to just your text.
6. Go to Effects >> 3-D Effects >> Inner Bevel... and use the following settings:

And in case you can't read it...
Bevel: #11
Width: 12
Smoothness: 16
Depth: 2
Ambience: 0
Shininess: 29
Color: #FFFFFF
Angle: 315
Intensity: 34
Elevation: 50
7. Deselect, merge your layers, and voila!
Any questions? Feel free to ask :)
