Tutorial #7: Naruto (again)

From this to in eight steps. PSP8, translatable. I think.

(Note: Opacities may be off because I accidentally closed PSP. *facedesk*)





1. As with any tutorial. Start with your base and crop it and sharpen it. Ooh, aah, etc.





2. Duplicate your base layer and set it to Soft Light, 100%.





3. Make a new layer and fill it with #143C81. Set it to Overlay, 65%.





4. Take this here gradient: and paste it onto a new layer. Set it to Soft Light, 100%.





5. Repeat step 4 with this gradient: .





6. Repeat step 5 with , but this time set it to Exclusion, 75%.





7. Take this scanline texture and paste it as a new layer. Set it to Soft Light, 55%. I didn't like the look of the scanlines on his face, so I took a small, soft eraser brush (size 5, 35 hardness) and erased them. :]




8. Last but not least, text. Mine's Garamond, size 8, #000000 set to Luminance (Legacy), 60%.
