Gradient tutorial

I've become quite preoccupied with making gradients recently and consequently, I've been playing around with them. These two icons (from two slightly different photographs taken by myself) show subtle differences that can occur when using identical steps. Here, its the amount of blue sky that makes all the difference. This colouring technique works well with outdoor images with a silvery feel to them. The photos were taken on Skye, btw...
