Listens: Nickelback - This Is How You Remind Me

My first tutorial

My first tutorial, it's very easy to follow.

We will go from to

I use Adobe Photoshop 7.0 but can be done with other programs

1. Choose your pic and crop/resize it to 100x100.

2. Sharpen once and duplicated your base twice. Put the middle one to Screen @ 50% opacity and the top one to Soft Light @ 100% opacity.

3. Merge your layers.

4. Take this gadient (by ? if you know who made it please tell me and I will credit them) ,paste it as a new layer and put it on Soft Light @ 80% opacity

5. Another gradient (by ? if you know who made it please tell me and I will credit them) ,paste it as a new layer and put it on Soft Light @ 50% opacity

This is what the icon looks like this far.

6. I wanted to added something to cover up the background. I took this lighttexture (by fightstarr) and flipped it until I liked it. Put it to lighten @ 50% opacity.

7. Duplicate the lighttexture layer and leave the settings as they are.

8. And for the final touch I took this borderbrush (by ? if you know who made it please tell me and I will credit them)

Final icon:

And you're done!

I love to see what you made. If you want to use the icon, please credit me. Please comment on this tut, so I can learn from it :-)
