I've seen many tutorials for the coloring of anime icons, and they are all lovely and I'd like to try them, but my problem comes with the prepping of bases for them. No matter what I try, once I resize any anime or other drawn image for an icon, it become extremely grainy. I know the problems not with how I resize them, because any other photograph based icon looks fine. So I guess I'm asking, any tips for getting cartoon/anime/black and white drawn image icons too look crisp and clean, not grainy?
