just a cool new tut!
This is my first icon tutorial. One of many I hope to come! Also, I use PSP 9 but it's easy for beginners and any program i think.

i used this picture:

then cropped it down to get this:
Then you can sharpen it. I did once. Sometimes twice.
Then I pressed Shift + B. Which lets you lighten and contrast. I set it as Lighten 4, Contrast 19.
and got this:
Then I duplicated it and set the top layer to disaturate at 68.
And got this:
Then last step is just to add this gradient to multiply at 100%
Then just merge all together and your done. Just add some text to it if you want. Also, for the more brighter one you just do the shift + B again and set it to your liking. I hope this tut was cool for you guys.
