Simple PSP8 tutorial
Learn how to make this icon:
1.Prepare your base(soften,sharpen etc.)
2.Duplicate it twice and set the first copy to Screen at 100%,and the second copy to Soft Light at about 55% (I also desaturated the Soft Light layer by 60% as I felt that his skin looked too pink).
3.Now create a new raster layer,flood fill it with white and set it to Lighten.Then add this brush by absolutetrouble.com in black where you want the transparent part to be.
4.Apply these brushes by

5.Add some text or text brushes
6.Paste this texture by ? beneath your first Lighten layer.
7.Mirror your new texture layer and set it to Lighten and you´re done :)
